01 / SETUP

Set up your workspace

Google sign-in, dedicated Gmail seeds, and your first brand. Each seed requires its own permission.

Read setup steps & transcript
  1. Open your workspace. Review the Terms and Privacy Policy, then continue with Google. Sign-in identifies your InboxSignal account.
  2. Choose Connected inboxes. Enter a dedicated Gmail address you control and confirm its use as a seed.
  3. Choose Authorize in Google. Select that exact account and review Gmail read-only access. InboxSignal cannot send or modify mail. The permission is broad, so use dedicated seeds.
  4. Repeat for each seed, up to ten. Your connected addresses appear only in your workspace.
  5. Choose Campaign checks, New campaign check, then Add a brand. Save the brand name, exact From address, and actual sending platform.
  6. Once purchases open, Account & credits offers ten test credits for US$9 once, valid for six months from purchase. Each pack’s expiry date appears in Account & credits. Google and Razorpay approval are required before launch purchases.

02 / HOW TO USE

Run a campaign check

Create, send, collect, review, and export. Rechecking the same campaign uses no extra credit.

Read usage steps & transcript
  1. Choose New campaign check. Select your brand, campaign name, subject, and arrival window. Creating a draft uses no credit.
  2. Review the displayed From address and seed recipients. Start arrival window spends one credit and starts the clock.
  3. Copy the exact subject, including its unique marker, and the seed recipients. Send the representative email through your usual sending platform before the deadline. InboxSignal does not send it for you.
  4. Choose Check seed inboxes now. Collection is manual. Retry Pending results; after the deadline, a successful search can record Not observed.
  5. Review each seed. Promotions is Inbox. Collection errors need retry or reconnection; archived or conflicting labels need review.
  6. When every seed has a completed outcome, export the CSV. The report records the campaign route, per-seed results, timestamps and labels. It describes the seeds checked, not every recipient.

READING YOUR REPORT

Six states. No guesswork.

Inbox

The matching message has Gmail’s Inbox label. Promotions, Social, Updates and Forums count as Inbox.

Spam

The matching message has the Spam label. This observation alone cannot explain why.

Pending

No successful match yet. The arrival window is still open, or collection has not finished.

Not observed

A successful bounded search found no match after the arrival deadline. It is not a bounce diagnosis.

Other / review

Archived mail, Trash, or conflicting labels need review. They are kept separate from Inbox and Spam.

Collection error

Permission, provider, or matching failed. Retry or reconnect. An error never counts as absence.

When something needs a second look.

Why does a Gmail connection fail?

Check that you selected the requested Gmail account, granted the read-only permission, and returned in the same browser session. Start the connection again if it expired. The public service will remain closed until Google production approval is complete.

The email arrived, but InboxSignal cannot find it.

Check the exact From address, unique subject marker, and arrival window. A campaign sent through another route or after the deadline is a different test. Multiple matching messages are a collection error rather than a guessed result.

My credits have not appeared after payment.

Use Refresh balance in Account & credits. Credits are added only after server confirmation from Razorpay. Keep your payment reference if you need support; never send card details, passwords, or OAuth tokens.

How do I disconnect or delete my data?

Connected inboxes → Disconnect deletes the stored token and asks Google to revoke access. If revocation cannot be confirmed, remove InboxSignal in your Google Account’s third-party connections. Delete individual checks from Campaign checks. Disconnect all seeds before deleting your workspace in Account & credits.

Are other email providers or automatic schedules included?

This first release supports Gmail seeds and manual collection. Send through your normal campaign platform. Outlook, Yahoo, automatic sending, recurring checks and alerts are not included.
